Welcome to my retired life. I am Alaskan born and raised. I worked as a kindergarten teacher and a middle and high school life skills teacher in Petersburg, Alaska, my hometown, and then moved to Juneau to be an elementary principal. I have been a retired educator for awhile but have worked several fun jobs since my retirement. I am now fully retired, except for a few little jobs and I am embracing my retirement with gusto. I love to quilt and sew and have been doing it since I made most of my cloths in high school. Back in the ‘70’s that was still a thing. I started quilting in 1978 when polyester, corduroy and satin were ok in quilts and I have evolved with the craft. I love all fabric and yarn crafts and in addition, I love to refurnish furniture and make wine and cook sometimes. My greatest joy is spending time with my 6 granddaughters, who all live within one mile of my house, and sharing my crafts and recipes with them. They are too young to make wine though.
